I am a third-year student in the School of Materials Science and Innovation at Mahidol University. My coursework and lab work centre on polymer composites — specifically how filler dispersion and interfacial adhesion govern the mechanical and barrier properties of biodegradable films.

I have around 400 hours of hands-on laboratory time across film casting, thermal analysis and electron microscopy, and I am looking for a research placement where I can contribute to characterisation work while learning a technique I cannot access at my home institution.

Research interests

Where I would like to be useful in a host lab.

Biodegradable packaging films

Starch- and PLA-based films that keep useful barrier properties without persisting in the environment. I am most interested in the trade-off between compostability and water-vapour resistance, which is where most food-contact applications currently fail.

Polymer–filler interfaces

How surface treatment of a filler changes stress transfer in a composite. I want to work on quantifying interfacial adhesion rather than inferring it from bulk tensile data alone.

Hydrogels for controlled release

Crosslinked polysaccharide networks and how network density governs release kinetics. An area I have read into and would like supervised laboratory experience in.

Surface and thin-film characterisation

Spin-coated oxide films and the relationship between deposition parameters and crystallinity. This grew out of an assistantship and is the technique area I would most like to deepen.

    Supervise two first-year laboratory sections of roughly 24 students each: pre-lab briefings, technique demonstration, safety enforcement and marking of lab reports. Around 6 hours a week during term.

  • Science camp volunteer

    Ran hands-on polymer demonstrations for upper-secondary students at two weekend camps, including a slime-viscosity activity used to introduce crosslinking. Presented in Thai and English.
