For prospective supervisors

What I am looking for

A supervised research placement of eight to twelve weeks, between June and August 2027, in polymer composites, biodegradable materials or thin-film characterisation. I am looking to contribute real characterisation work rather than to observe.

What I can commit

  • Dates: available from 1 June to 31 August 2027, with some flexibility either side.
  • Duration: a minimum of eight weeks; twelve preferred, since the first fortnight is mostly training.
  • Funding: seeking a stipend or a host-funded placement. I am eligible to apply for DAAD RISE and MEXT and will do so if a host is willing to be named.
  • Visa: Myanmar passport. Schengen, Japanese and Korean research visas take roughly three to four weeks, so an invitation letter by March keeps a June start comfortable.

What I already do unsupervised

Solution casting, ATR-FTIR, tensile testing to ASTM D882, contact angle measurement, and SEM image analysis including my own ImageJ segmentation workflow. I can operate XRD and UV-Vis with supervision.
